Future Shock at 180 The Strand
United Visual Artists is presenting two installations at Future Shock, a group exhibition at 180 The Strand commissioned by Fact Magazine and 180 Studios.
Located at the entrance ramp, Topologies #2 will be the second work visitors encounter. A new iteration of Topologies, originally commissioned by NXT Amsterdam, Topologies #2 consists of three kinetic sculptures that project single-colour planes of light stretching across the room, creating shifting geometries that continuously divide and reconfigure the space.
Vanishing Point 3:1 #2 is a significant new update of an installation first conceived in 2013 to explore the relationship between geometry, sound, light, and space. It retains the intensity of the original work but features new sound design governed by tighter rules to dictate the behaviour of the sonic composition in relation to the visual. Vanishing Point 3:1 #2 acts as the closing work of Future Shock.
The exhibition opens on 28th April and is on until 28th August 2022.
